External promotion
Mon, Nov 9, 2009
External promotion of your website is basically getting incoming links from other websites, to increase your PageRank and to get to the top of the Google Search listings.
Very important factors:
- The other website should link you from the main page, or at least from the page with a high PageRank.
- The link should have good anchor.
For example SEO and Internet Promotion in Maryland is a lot better than just a link like http://vpromoter.com/ - The more your referrer’s website related to your website, the better. That is logical because if your industry’s websites think your website is cool, that is more trustworthy than somebody who just put a link to you because you paid to them.
- Reciprocal links between two websites value less, than one way links. That shows that you didn’t just exchanged with links to increase your pageranks.
